Dear 21 year old self:

A year ago you were dealing with losses. Heartbreak. Graduations. Friends moving on to uni and you've started a full time job.

You don't really get along with most of your friends anymore because you find that you no longer understand the stress and pressures of school. Studying? What's that? Presentations? Projects? What do you mean stayed up all night to rush work?

You feel disconnected with the Church. There's no longer meaning in going to Church and "spending time with God" feels mundane and seems like a chore.

You still believe in God and you know He's there, but you just don't feel anything any more. Could it have been the stress? Could it be because of all the nasty things that has happened? People/leaders are pushing you to do much more, they don't listen, they force things and responsibilities on you because "you're older and wiser now." and they say "you can handle it.". Fed up? Yeah.

Are you enjoying work? You loved your colleagues. Do you still feel the same way? Are they all still there or have some moved on to a different firm? Has the workload been piling up and causing you to feel like you can barely breathe? I hope things are fine.

I hope that this year you'll find someone to love and be loved again. Or have you already found one? I wish that everything will go smoothly and that you'll not settle for anything less than you deserve. You deserve the best. To be treated like a princess and be respected.

I hope that you will find him to be the greatest and best love of your life. And you'll live a disney princess happy-ever-after.

Happy 21st Birthday.

Love,
20 year old me.
